An Aurora Airlines de Havilland Dash 8-200, flight HZ-9237 from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk to Nogliki (Russia) with 4 passengers and 4 crew, was climbing out of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk when the right hand engine failed prompting the crew to shut the engine down and return to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk for a safe landing.

Far Eastern Investigative Department confirmed the crew received indication of the failure of the right hand engine prompting an emergency return to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The department is investigating.
