A Virgin Atlantic Airbus A340-600, registration G-VGAS performing flight VS-250 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Shanghai (China), was enroute at FL330 about 100nm northwest of Riga (Latvia) when the crew decided to return to London due to a cracked windshield, the inner pane was not affected. The aircraft landed safely back in London about 160 minutes later.
