A Delta Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-90, registration N955DN performing flight DL-1012 from Atlanta,GA to Norfolk,VA (USA) with 32 people on board, was on approach to Norfolk descending through 10,000 feet when the crew declared emergency reporting they were down to one generator, the left hand generator being the only one operative with right hand generator and APU inoperative. Upon checking with tower the crew reported they got both engine generators working again. The crew continued for a safe landing on runway 05 about 6 minutes later.

The aircraft was able to depart for the return flight after about two hours on the ground and reached Atlanta with a delay of one hour.
