A Lufthansa Airbus A320-200, registration D-AIPK performing flight LH-2500 from Munich (Germany) to Manchester,EN (UK), was on final approach to Manchester's runway 23R when the first officer felt a pressing and urging need to visit the lavatory and left the cockpit. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 23R about 7 minutes later.

Germany's BFU reported in their monthly bulletin that the captain performed the landing alone after the first officer went to the toilet due to a very urgent and unavoidable necessity.
