An Eastern Airways BAe Jetstream 41, registration G-MAJC performing flight T3-561 from Aberdeen,SC to Wick,SC (UK) with 5 passengers and 3 crew, was about 45nm from Aberdeen when the crew needed to shut an engine (TPE331) down and returned to Aberdeen for a safe landing about 40 minutes after departure.

The airline reported the captain noticed a problem with one of the engines and shut the engine down. The aircraft returned to Aberdeen and taxied to the stand on own power.
