A Biman Bangladesh Airbus A310-300, registration S2-ADF performing flight BG-85 from Singapore (Singapore) to Dhaka (Bangladesh) with 210 people on board, was descending towards Dhaka when the crew received a right hand engine (PW4156) fire indication, worked the related checklists and shut the engine down. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on Dhaka's runway 32.

The airline reported there had been no engine fire, the indication was false possibly due to a short circuit. The engine is undergoing a detailed inspection.
