A Luxair de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration LX-LGH performing flight LG-9731 from Luxembourg (Luxembourg) to Munich (Germany), was enroute at FL230 about 15nm northwest of Karlsruhe (Germany) and 80nm eastsoutheast of Luxembourg when the crew decided to return to Luxembourg due to electrical problems. The aircraft landed safely in Luxembourg about 20 minutes later.

The passengers were rebooked onto the next flight LX-9733 and reached Munich with a delay of 3 hours.

The airline reported the aircraft had problems with the batteries.

The occurrence aircraft was able to resume service about 4 hours after landing.
