The French BEA reported in their weekly bulletin that Germany's BFU rated the occurrence a serious incident and opened an investigation.
The occurrence aircraft departed for its next flight about 2 hours after landing.
On Jun 29th 2015 Germany's BFU released their March bulletin stating that the first officer was not feeling well shortly after departure from Birmingham. The captain therefore also assumed the role of pilot monitoring in order to permit the first officer to relax. As the first officer improved the flight was continued to Frankfurt. Over Belgium the first officer's health deteriorated again, the first officer believed however to be able to make it to destination, the captain declared emergency. A flight attendant took care of the first officer during the approach to Frankfurt, the first officer was taken to hospital after landing. The BFU rated the occurrence a serious incident and opened an investigation.
