A Thai Airways Boeing 777-200, registration HS-TJH performing flight TG-319 from Bangkok (Thailand) to Kathmandu (Nepal), was on approach to Kathmandu's runway 02 descending through 8500 feet when the right hand engine (Trent 877) ingested a bird. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 02.

Nepal's CAA reported the engine received minor damage and needed to be repaired for the aircraft was released for the return flight TG-320.

The occurrence aircraft was able to depart after about 5 hours on the ground and reached Bangkok with a delay of 4:20 hours.
