A UPS Boeing 747-400 freighter, registration N572UP performing flight 5X-1 from Hong Kong (China) to Cologne (Germany), was on final approach to Cologne's runway 32R when the crew went around from about 700 feet AGL reporting an electronics failure. Emergency services responded and went to their stand by positions. The aircraft climbed back to 5000 feet, positioned for another approach, landed safely on runway 32R about 17 minutes after aborting the first approach and taxied to the apron.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Cologne 24 hours after landing.
