An Air France Airbus A340-300, registration F-GLZP performing flight AF-422 from Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) to Bogota (Colombia), departed Roissy's runway 09R but stopped the climb at 6000 feet and subsequently entered a hold at FL080 before returning to Paris Charles de Gaulle for a safe landing on runway 08L about 100 minutes after departure.

A replacement Airbus A340-300 registration F-GNII is estimated to reach Bogota with a delay of 5.5 hours.

The airline reported there had been a minor technical issue.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Paris 9 hours after landing.
