An Air Europa Embraer ERJ-190, registration EC-LEK performing flight UX-7234 from La Coruna,SP to Madrid,SP (Spain) with 81 passengers and 5 crew, was in contact with Madrid Approach Control and had been cleared to descend to 5000 feet for an ILS approach to Madrid's runway 32L.

A Military Canadair CL-215T was in contact with military air traffic control descending towards Torrejon Air Force Base along a visual corridor. When the military aircraft descended through 6400 feet about 12nm from PDT VOR, a TCAS resolution advisory to adjust vertical speed showing the threat to the right of the Embraer activated in the cockpit of the ERJ-190, which the Embraer crew complied with.

Spain's CIAIAC reported on Mar 12th 2015, the separation between the two aircraft reduced to 200 feet vertically and 1.4nm horizontally. After the ERJ-190 crew complied with the TCAS RA the crew notified Madrid approach and continued for a safe landing on Madrid's runway 32L. Both aircraft landed without further incident, there were no injuries and no damage. The CIAIAC opened an investigation into the occurrence.
