A Ryanair Boeing 737-800, registration EI-EFK performing flight FR-2932 from Lisbon (Portugal) to Brussels (Belgium), was descending towards Brussels around about 20:30L (19:30Z) when the aircraft received a lightning strike. The crew continued for a safe landing on Brussel's runway 25L.

A post flight examination revealed damage to the radome requiring repairs. A replacement Boeing 737-800 needed to continue the schedule assigned to EI-EFK.

The occurrence aircraft was able to resume service the following morning.
