An Edelweiss Airbus A320-200, registration HB-IHX performing flight WK-439 from Skopje (Macedonia) to Zurich (Switzerland) with 126 people on board, was on initial approach to Zurich when the crew reported problems with the wheel brakes and requested the longer runway 16 instead of 14. Further into the approach the crew reported that the problem appeared to be solved however they still requested runway 16 as a precaution. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 16 with emergency services on standby about 25 minutes later, vacated the runway with the crew reporting normal braking and taxied to the apron.
