An Austrian Airlines de Havilland Dash 8-400 on behalf of Swiss, registration OE-LGP performing flight LX-2905 from Lugano to Zurich (Switzerland), was on approach to Zurich's runway 14 when the crew reported upon being instructed to reduce the speed that they were unable to reduce the speed due to a technical reason, the approach clearance was cancelled and the aircraft put on vectors to enter a hold. The crew subsequently reported they had completed troubleshooting, their minimum approach speed would be 165 KIAS, otherwise a normal approach and landing would occur. The aircraft landed safely on Zurich's runway 14 about 30 minutes after aborting the first approach. The crew advised normal operations and taxied to the apron.

The occurrence aircraft was able to resume service about 6 hours after landing.
