A post flight inspection revealed damage however suspected to have been caused by a lightning strike. The subsequent rotation to Gothenburg (Sweden) scheduled for the aircraft, flights 4U-9224 and 4U-9225, was cancelled.
The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground in Dusseldorf for a week and resumed service on Jan 28th 2015.
