A Yamal Airlines Boeing 737-500, registration VP-BRU performing flight YL-183 from Tyumen to Sochi (Russia) with 84 passengers and 6 crew, was climbing out of Tyumen's runway 21 when the crew stopped the climb at FL070 due to an engine showing abnormally high exhaust gas temperatures, reduced the engine's thrust, entered a holding to burn off fuel at 2500 feet and returned to Tyumen for a safe landing on runway 21 about 50 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-500 VP-BRV reached Sochi with a delay of 3.5 hours.
