A KLM Cityhopper Fokker 70, registration PH-WXD performing flight KL-1498 from Humberside,EN (UK) to Amsterdam (Netherlands), was climbing out of Humberside when the crew could not fully retract the landing gear, stopped the climb at FL090 and returned to Humberside for a safe landing about 25 minutes after departure.

The occurrence aircraft was able to position to Amsterdam as flight KL-9955 24 hours after landing.
