A Delta Airlines Boeing 757-200, registration N757AT performing flight DL-2116 from Los Angeles,CA to Minneapolis,MN (USA) with 146 passengers and 6 crew, was climbing out of Los Angeles' runway 25L when the crew declared emergency reporting yaw and control problems requiring a return to runway 25L, the aircraft was vectored onto a left downwind with the intention to have the aircraft return immediately. While on downwind the crew indicated they needed delay vectors to set the aircraft up. About 10 minutes after declaring emergency the crew indicated that they had got the issue under control, they were talking with their company to ensure to "make a good approach and cover all their bases". The aircraft was vectored around the airspace while the crew was working to prepare the aircaft for the approach. The aircraft landed safely back on Los Angeles's runway 25R about 55 minutes after departure.
