A Fedex McDonnell Douglas MD-10, registration N307FE performing flight FX-1230 from Salt Lake City,UT to Memphis,TN (USA), was climbing out of Salt Lake City' runway 16L when still on tower frequency the crew reported a bird strike just after becoming airborne and vibrations. The crew reported they had no abnormal engine (CF6) indications and continued the flight and were handed off to departure. While climbing through about 8000 feet out of Salt Lake City when the crew advised they might need to return to Salt Lake City due to the vibrations but for now wanted to continue southbound. The aircraft climbed to 13,000 feet, later 15,000 feet on vectors to keep them within the airspace of Salt Lake City Departure. The aircraft landed safely on Salt Lake City's runway 16L about 30 minutes after departure and taxied to the apron.
