A KLM Cityhopper Embraer ERJ-190, registration PH-EZV performing flight KL-1264 from Nice (France) to Amsterdam (Netherlands), was enroute at FL400 about 90nm south of Luxembourg (Luxembourg) when the crew decided to divert to Luxembourg reporting fumes in the aft cabin. The aircraft landed safely in Luxembourg about 20 minutes later.

A passenger reported the crew announced unknown fumes at the rear of the aircraft. They were rebooked onto flight KL-1746 and reached Amsterdam with a delay of 6:20 hours on board of Embraer ERJ-190 registration PH-EZM.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Luxembourg about 10 hours after landing.
