A Kelowna Flightcraft Boeing 727-200, registration C-GQKF performing freight flight KFA-277 from Montreal,QC to Hamilton,ON (Canada) with 3 crew, was enroute at FL240 near Hamilton when the crew received an engine #3 (JT8D, right hand) low oil pressure/filter bypass indication with the actual oil pressure indication remaining normal. The crew actioned the relevant checklists and shut the engine down as a precaution. The aircraft continued for a safe landing in Hamilton 23 minutes later.

The oil filter was inspected with no contamination found.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance replaced the low oil pressure and filter differential switches.
