An American Airlines Boeing 757-200, registration N677AN performing flight AA-1495 from Dallas Ft. Worth,TX to Vail,CO (USA) with 179 people on board, was descending towards Vail when the crew aborted the approach at 12,000 feet due to flaps becoming stuck and decided to divert to Denver,CO (USA). The aircraft climbed to 17,000 feet for the cruise to Denver at about 200 KIAS. The crew advised Denver tower that their flaps were stuck, they planned for an otherwise normal landing and would vacate the runway. The aircraft landed safely on Denver's runway 34R at a higher than normal speed and taxied to the apron.
