A United Boeing 737-800, registration N78501 performing flight UA-1636 from Honolulu,HI to Los Angeles,CA (USA), concluding a seemingly uneventful flight with a safe landing in Los Angeles.

The FAA reported however that a post flight inspection revealed a tyre had delaminated and caused damage to the undercarriage and the flaps of the aircraft.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Los Angeles about 36 hours after landing.
