A Royal Jordanian Boeing 787-800, registration JY-BAE performing flight RJ-264 from Chicago O'Hare,IL (USA) to Amman (Jordan), was enroute at FL390 already in German Airspace about 40nm westnorthwest of Dortmund (Germany) when the crew reported an engine (GEnx) problem, turned around maintaining FL390 and diverted to London Heathrow,EN (UK) for a safe landing about 80 minutes later.

After receiving maintenance the aircraft was able to depart Heathrow after about 3 hours on the ground and reached Amman with a delay of 5:15 hours.
