Kelowna DC10 near Vancouver on Dec 5th 2014, engine shut down in flight

A Kelowna Flightcraft McDonnel Douglas DC-10 freighter, registration C-GKFD performing flight KFA-309 from Calgary,AB to Vancouver,BC (Canada) with 4 crew, was enroute about 100nm west of Calgary when the crew received a Oil Strainer Clog message for the tail mounted engine (CF6). The crew worked the related checklists, the indication remained active however prompting the crew to shut the tail mounted engine down. The aircraft continued for a safe landing in Vancouver.

The Canadian TSB reported that maintenance removed the oil filter but found it clean. Maintenance subsequently identified a faulty oil pressure switch and replaced the switch.
