On Dec 22nd 2014 Colombia's GRIAA released a brief preliminary report in Spanish confirming the aircraft landed on uncontrolled runway 36 with a Vref of 114 KIAS, the propellers were put into beta and full reverse power was applied. The crew also applied brakes, the aircraft however went past the end of the runway slightly to the right of the extended runway center line and came to a stop "burying" the gear in the runway safety area 26 meters past the end of the runway at a heading of 005 degrees. The runway is 1200 meters long and 30 meters wide. The first 200 meters of runway 36 had been recently resurfaced, there were no markings on that portion of the runway. Both windsocks of the aerodrome showed deteriorating conditions. Two propeller blades were found damaged. The investigation is ongoing.
