A British Airways Boeing 747-400, registration G-BNLO performing flight BA-107 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Dubai (United Arab Emirates), was climbing out of London Heathrow's runway 27R when the crew stopped the climb at 8000 feet due to problems with the landing gear and decided to return to Heathrow. The aircraft dumped fuel and landed safely back on Heathrow's runway 27R about 50 minutes after departure.

A passenger reported the crew announced problems with the landing gear. After returning to Heathrow passengers were initially kept on board while engineers attempted to fix the problem but then passengers were told a replacement aircraft would take them to Dubai and they disembarked.

Witnesses on the ground alerted media that a loud bang similiar to an explosion had occurred when the aircraft passed over their properties.

A ground witness took a photo showing the Boeing 747-400 climbed out without retracting the landing gear.

Multiple passengers reported they did not hear any bangs on board of the aircraft.

The airline reported the aircraft landed safely back in Heathrow after a technical problem.
