A passenger reported the captain announced towards the end of the flight that they had a problem with the hydraulics requiring to extend the flaps and gear earlier than normal and they would be towed off the runway. After landing the aircraft was towed to a remote stand, where passengers disembarked normally. It appeared that the spoilers remained extended in the fully extended position.
The return flight OS-204 was cancelled.
The occurrence aircraft departed Dusseldorf for the next day's return flight OS-204.
On Dec 9th 2014 the airline reported that due to a defective seal the hydraulic pressure was insufficient. Following landing the aircraft was able to vacate the runway on its own and was then towed to the apron. The passengers waiting for the return flight OS-204 were rebooked onto a flight via Vienna. The seal was replaced by Austrian Airlines engineers flown to Dusseldorf.
