A Ryanair Boeing 737-800, registration EI-DCP performing flight FR-5772 from Dublin (Ireland) to Glasgow,SC (UK), was climbing out of Dublin when the crew stopped the climb at about FL225 reporting they had lost instrument power on the left hand panel and were able to only use autopilot B. The crew decided to return to Dublin, that had low visibility procedures in effect with ATC reporting Category III approach conditions prevailing, entered a hold to work the procedures and landed safely on runway 28 about 50 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration EI-FEF reached Glasgow with a delay of 2 hours.

The airline reported a warning light indicated a possible minor technical issue.
