A Volaris Airbus A320-200, registration XA-VLD performing flight Y4-970 from Guadalajara (Mexico) to Sacramento,CA (USA), was on final approach to Sacramento's runway 16R when the aircraft ingested a bird into the left hand engine (V2527). The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 16R.

The FAA reported the left hand engine received "unknown damage".
