A PAL Philippine Airlines Airbus A321-200, registration RP-C9901 performing flight PR-437 from Nagoya (Japan) to Manila (Philippines) with 154 passengers and 8 crew, was descending through about 8000 feet MSL towards Manila when the crew needed to shut the right hand engine (V2533) down. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on Manila's runway 06 about 15 minutes later.
