A Ryanair Boeing 737-800, registration EI-EBG performing flight FR-3918 from London Stansted,EN (UK) to Palermo (Italy) with 188 people on board, was enroute at FL370 about 15nm south of Geneva (Switzerland) in French Airspace in contact with Geneva Radar when the aircraft initiated an emergency descent to FL180 due to problems with the cabin pressure. The aircraft subsequently set course to divert to Milan Bergamo (Italy) where the aircraft landed safely about 30 minutes after leaving FL370.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration EI-DAM reached Palermo with a delay of 3:45 hours.

A passenger reported the aircraft diverted due to problems with the cabin pressurization, a couple of passengers needed oxygen.
