A Wizz Air Airbus A320-200, registration HA-LWN performing flight W6-3417 from Cluj (Romania) to Zaragoza,SP (Spain) with 171 passengers, was departing Cluj's runway 25 when an engine (V2527) ingested a bird. The crew initially continued the climb but needed to stop the climb at FL250, entered a hold, shut the engine down and diverted to Budapest (Hungary), about 190nm westnorthwest of Cluj, for a safe landing on runway 31R about one hour after departure.

A replacement Airbus A320-200 registration HA-LWS is about to reach Zaragoza with a delay of 2 hours.

The airline confirmed the aircraft received a bird strike and needed to divert to Budapest on single engine.
