New Smyrna Beach Police reported the piston powered airliner and transport aircraft hit the ground after it landed at 3:57pm.
Airport officials reported the nose gear collapsed after a hard touch down.
The FAA reported the nose gear collapsed on landing at New Smyrna Beach Airport. The FAA is investigating the occurrence, the departure aerodrome is unknown at this time.
According to the FAA registry Island Air Transport LLC based in Delaware (USA) holds an Air Transport AOC and operates just one aircraft, the Douglas C54-D registration N9015Q.
