The Dutch Onderzoeksraad reported in their quarterly bulletin without stating a time or departure aerodrome, that the aircraft was performing a non-precision approach to Guarulhos' runway 27L in poor visibility but touched down on runway 27R which was not occupied at the time. Brazil's CENIPA rated the occurrence a serious incident and opened an investigation.
The aircraft performed two landings at Sao Paulo that day: at 12:47L (15:47Z) the aircraft touched down following flight O6-6127 and at 16:55L (19:55Z) the aircraft landed following flight O6-6179.
