A Ryanair Boeing 737-800, registration EI-DHF performing flight FR-1921 from Frankfurt Hahn (Germany) to Tampere (Finland), was climbing out of Frankfurt Hahn when the crew levelled off at FL140 and decided to return to Frankfurt Hahn. The aircraft entered a holding to burn off fuel and landed safely back about 70 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration EI-EKW reached Tampere with a delay of 4:45 hours and reached Frankfurt as return flight FR-1922 with a delay of 4.5 hours.

A passenger reported the crew indiciated technical problems without providing any further details.

Ryanair's website also stated technical problems. Due to past experiences with Ryanair's Press Office, who always sent a boilerplate "Ryanair operates over 1,500 flights per day and does not comment on minor incidents." in response to such inquiries, The Aviation Herald decided to not contact the airline. The airline's press office is invited however to present their meaningful statement, our e-mail address is known to the press office.
