A Delta Airlines Airbus A319-100, registration N340NB performing flight DL-2370 from New York La Guardia,NY to West Palm Beach,FL (USA), was enroute at FL360 about 80nm eastnortheast of Melbourne,FL (USA) and about 130nm north of West Palm Beach just about to reach the top of descent into West Palm Beach when the aircraft encountered severe turbulence. The crew initiated the descent and continued to West Palm Beach for a safe landing about 35 minutes later.

The FAA reported one passenger received minor injuries as result of severe turbulence encountered near Melbourne,FL.
