A Condor Boeing 757-300, registration D-ABOB performing flight DE-1832 from Stuttgart (Germany) to Antalya (Turkey) with 274 passengers, departed Stuttgart's runway 07 when the right hand engine (RB211) ingested a bird resulting in repeated compressor stalls (emitting streaks of flame). The crew stopped the climb at 5000 feet, shut the engine down and returned to Stuttgart for a safe landing on runway 07 about 25 minutes after departure.

The airline reported a bird strike resulted in engine damage and the shut down of the engine. A replacement aircraft is expected to resume the flight.
