A MASWings Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, flight MH-3041 from Kota Kinabalu to Labuan (Malaysia) with 55 passengers and 4 crew, was descending towards Labuan when the crew noticed an anomaly with the right hand engine and advised ATC. The aircraft continued for a safe landing with emergency services on stand by.

The airline reported a post flight inspection revealed a panel off the inboard cowling of the right hand engine had separated from the aircraft, it was recovered from the departure runway at Kota Kinabalu. The aircraft has been grounded.
