A J-Air Embraer ERJ-170 on behalf of JAL Japan Airlines, flight XM-2151/JL-2151 from Osaka Itami to Aomori (Japan) with 55 people on board, was climbing out of Osaka when the cabin heated up to 36 degrees C. The crew returned to Osaka for a safe landing.

The airline reported one of the air conditioning systems failed being unable to cool down the air. The aircraft returned to Itami airport, the failed air conditioning system was disabled and the aircraft departed again under minimum equipment list requirements.

The aircraft reached Aomori with a delay of 2.5 hours.
