An Air Berlin Boeing 737-800, registration D-ABMI performing flight AB-6199 from Berlin Tegel to Munich (Germany), was on final approach to runway 26R descending through 2100 feet MSL (about 600 feet AGL) when the crew initiated a go around, joined a right hand downwind to position for another approach and landed safely on runway 26R about 12 minutes later.

A passenger reported that shortly before touchdown the aircraft initiated a go-around, the crew subsequently announced they had a technical problem with the landing gear that should now be solved.
