A China Southern Airlines Boeing 757-200, registration B-2838 performing flight CZ-6939 from Wuhan to Xiamen (China), was descending towards Xiamen when the crew reported a leak of the left hydraulic system causing flaps problems and the loss of nose wheel steering. The aircraft entered a hold for about one hour to work the related checklists and burn off fuel, then performed a safe landing at Xiamen. The aircraft stopped on the runway and needed to be towed to the apron.
