A Jazz Canadair CRJ-200, registration C-GKEU performing flight QK-7665 from Washington National,DC (USA) to Ottawa,ON (Canada) with 53 people on board, was in the initial descent towards Ottawa when the crew received indication a #2 hydraulic system low quantity indication and saw the quantity indication had dropped to zero. The crew worked the related checklists and requested emergency services on standby for the arrival. The aircraft landed safely about 15 minutes later.

The Canadian TSB reported that the #2 hydraulic system overflow was full and the hydraulic reservoir was at 20% with evidence of a leak. The system was serviced and leak tested with no faults found.
