No indication of danger was detected during subsequent search of aircraft and interviews with passengers, however, amongst the passengers there was the current Ukrainian Prime Minister Yatzenyuk, who returned from political talks in Brussels to Kiev with a planned stop in Vienna to change aircraft onto PS-846 from Vienna to Kiev.
Austrocontrol, air traffic control service provider in Austria, reported German collegues had received a terror alert and forwarded the alert to Austria.
Germany's Air Traffic Control stated an anonymous phone call had been received in Brussels indicating that Mr. Yatzenyuk was in danger. The information had been forwarded to Germany and Austria.
Belgian Police reported that an anonymous phone call was received indicating that a terror act against OS-354 was pending. The crew was contacted but indicated that everything on board was normal, hence the flight was continued to Vienna where the aircraft taxied to the planned park position.
Mr. Yatzenyuk boarded the Ukraine International Airlines Embraer ERJ-190 registration UR-EMB, flight PS-846 to Kiev, and departed Vienna on schedule about 45 minutes after landing.
