A Sunwing Boeing 737-800, registration C-GDZE performing flight WG-9582 (dep Feb 11th) from Cancun (Mexico) to Halifax,NS (Canada), was enroute at FL410 about 10 minutes prior to top of descent when a pop can fell onto the foot of a flight attendant resulting in an injury disabling the flight attendant to continue work. The crew requested medical services to meet the aircraft upon arrival. The aircraft continued for a safe landing in Halifax about 40 minutes later.

The Canadian TSB reported the crew consulted with Medlink in flight, the flight attendant was taken to hospital after landing.
