A Jazz Canadair CRJ-200, registration C-GGJA performing flight QK-8461 from Fort McMurray,AB to Vancouver,BC (Canada), was descending towards Vancouver when the crew felt an unusual vibration, on scanning the instruments they noticed the engine vibration indications for the left hand engine (CF34) was in the amber band increasing towards red. The crew shut the engine down and continued the approach for a safe landing on Vancouver's runway 26R.

The Canadian TSB reported the left hand engine's vibration indications were in the yellow zone climbing towards red when the crew shut the engine down.
