A Lufthansa Boeing 747-400, registration D-ABTH performing flight LH-441 from Houston,TX (USA) to Frankfurt/Main (Germany), was enroute at FL350 about 50nm east of Moncton,NB (Canada) when the crew reported a medical emergency on board and requested to divert direct Boston Airport adding a male passenger (73) was showing symptoms of a heart attack, two doctors on board were providing first aid. The aircraft descended to FL320 and was cleared direct Boston,MA (USA), where the aircraft landed safely on runway 22L about one hour later. Medical staff awaited the aircraft at the gate and took the patient to the hospital.

The aircraft reached Frankfurt with a delay of 3:15 hours.
