An Expressjet Embraer ERJ-145 on behalf of United, registration N16976 performing flight EV-3825/UA-3825 from Indianapolis,IN to Newark,NJ (USA) with 52 people on board, was climbing out of Indianapolis when the crew reported a fuel issue that needed to be resolved at the ground, stopped the climb at 6000 feet and decided to return to Indianapolis. The crew reported they had fuel pressure problems with the right hand fuel tank, the left hand fuel tank was normal, they were not declaring emergency. The aircraft landed safely on Indianapolis' runway 23L about 15 minutes after departure.

The aircraft was able to depart again and reached Newark with a delay of 5 hours.
