An Egypt Air Airbus A320-200, registration SU-GBB performing flight MS-967 (scheduled departure Jan 10th) from Sharjah (United Arab Emirates) to Cairo (Egypt) with 107 people on board, was climbing out of Sharjah's runway 12 when the crew stopped the climb at 4000 feet reporting they blew a tyre on takeoff. The aircraft returned to Sharjah for a safe landing on runway 12 about 45 minutes after departure and stopped disabled on the runway.

The airport was closed for about 2 hours until the aircraft was moved off the runway.
